• Architect / Interior Designer: MMAC Design

• Project Type: Hospitality Guestroom Mock-Up (Standard Room)
This project involved the execution of a full-scale hospitality guestroom mock-up developed in collaboration with Marriott Uganda as part of their hotel development in Kampala.
Designed by MMAC Design, the mockup room was manufactured and installed in full alignment with the architectural concept and Marriott brand standards. All furnishings were fully bespoke, developed to meet the project's functional, aesthetic, and operational requirements.
Able’s scope included the coordination, custom manufacturing, and delivery of both fixed and loose furniture elements, ensuring consistency across materials, detailing, and finishes. Particular attention was given to craftsmanship, durability, and compliance with international hospitality performance standards.
Material selection plays a defining role in the room’s identity, with natural wood finishes introducing warmth and refinement while complementing the architectural language of the space. A distinctive feature of the room is the custom dining table, featuring a sculptural base shape directly by hand using traditional stone-lathing techniques, resulting in a refined and elegant material expression.
This mock-up room serves as a reference standard for the project, demonstrating Able’s capability to deliver high-quality, design-aligned hospitality interiors in close collaboration with international architectural and design teams.
