This custom-designed residential mockup was developed in collaboration with Hilton Uganda as part of their new hospitality venture in Kampala. Designed by Ricardo Giovannetti, the apartment concept adheres fully to the project’s interior specifications, with all elements bespoke and manufactured to the client’s exacting standards. What distinguishes this unit is its ability to merge global design precision with regional cultural heritage. One of the core design challenges embraced by Able was integrating a custom African-engraved cultural pattern into the mobility unit — a detail that speaks to both authenticity and innovation in localized hospitality design. The space is defined by the extensive use of natural wood and includes distinctive, handcrafted elements — most notably, a sculptural dining table with a base shaped entirely by hand through traditional stone-heating techniques, creating naturally indented textures and a uniquely artisanal finish. This project highlights Able’s capacity to deliver culturally responsive, design-forward interiors that elevate the guest experience while meeting the high standards of international hospitality.
