This mockup guestroom was meticulously developed as part of Hilton Uganda’s upcoming hospitality offering in Kampala. Designed by the internationally recognized studio MMAC Design, the room was manufactured in full alignment with the architectural concept and brand standards, with all furnishings custom-made to match the client’s unique vision and requirements. A standout aspect of the project is Able’s dedication to culturally informed craftsmanship. At the heart of the mobility unit lies a bespoke African-engraved pattern, skillfully integrated into the design to reflect the region’s artistic heritage while maintaining global luxury standards. Materiality plays a central role in the room’s narrative—rich wood surfaces evoke warmth and refinement, creating an inviting contrast to the architectural lines. Among the room’s most distinctive pieces is a custom dining table, its sculptural base formed entirely by hand using a traditional rock-heating technique to create natural, organic indentations — a true tribute to artisanal mastery. This project is a testament to Able’s ability to execute high-standard, culturally relevant hospitality interiors in seamless collaboration with leading architectural teams.
